Nemanja Vidic made his first start for three months as Manchester United looked to re-establish a six-point lead at the top of the Barclays Premier League at Swansea.
Vidic, recently back from a knee injury, came in for Rio Ferdinand in the centre of defence and lined up alongside Jonny Evans, himself returning from a hamstring problem.
Swansea had Michel Vorm back in goal after eight weeks out with a groin injury, while Kemy Agustien was handed his first Premier League start of the season as he was preferred to Ki Sung-yueng.
