All eyes may be on the World Cup at the moment, but Longford Town have given us a reminder that there's quality to be found closer to home also.

Town's midfielder, Mark Salmon, scored a cracker from 30 yards in their 3-0 win at Galway United last night.

He scored the thumping volley just before half time and it means the Midlands side have won five of their last six games putting them into second place in the First Division.
