Twitter reacts as Manchester United hammered by Dortmund

It’s a preseason friendly in another continent but that hasn’t stopped the internet feasting on the result between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund this afternoon.

The two sides played in the International Champions Cup in Shanghai and the Germans hockeyed Jose Mourinho’s men 4-1.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened his account with a second-half goal, but United were already 3-0 down at that stage and Dortmund added another before the final whistle.

Cue predictable gloating from the usual suspects.

With many United fans also going into meltdown.

Some tried to be the voice of reason and point out the madness of judging a team on this evidence.

But they were swiftly drowned out by the jokers.

The preseason silliness in all its glory folks.
