Seamus Coleman to make comeback with Everton U23s

Seamus Coleman will make his return to action after 10 months out this evening.

The Republic of Ireland captain is set to play for Everton’s under-23s against Portsmouth, his first game since a double leg break in the World Cup qualifier with Wales.

The game kicks off at 7pm.

The Donegal man has been making a gradual increase in his training ground work at Everton and boss Sam Allardyce recently confirmed that he had returned to training with the rest of the first team.

"Seamus Coleman is due back," said Allardyce. "He has started training."
