Stoke boss Tony Pulis hopes key men Matthew Etherington, Jermaine Pennant and Robert Huth will be fit for selection in Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Wigan at the Britannia Stadium.
Having all played in the 1-0 FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City last weekend, Etherington (hamstring), Pennant (ankle) and Huth (knee) missed Tuesday’s 3-0 loss in the league to the same opponents and will be assessed tomorrow.
Striker Kenwyne Jones and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic may also come back into the side having been rested in midweek.
Provisional squad: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shotton, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Whelan, Delap, Etherington, Jones, Walters, Sorensen, Whitehead, Diao, Collins, Faye, Pugh, Carew.
