No France recall for Nasri

Samir Nasri’s international exile continued today after he failed to win a recall to the France squad for the friendly against Japan and the crunch World Cup qualifier against Spain.
Manchester City playmaker Nasri has completed a three-match ban imposed by the French Football Federation for his conduct at the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine but was not selected today by Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps.
Hatem Ben Arfa, another to have been disciplined over the summer, was also left out despite performing well for Newcastle recently with Deschamps instead including Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko and Lassana Diarra, who recently moved to Anzhi Makhachkala from Real Madrid.
Midfielders Abou Diaby and Rio Mavuba are injured but Montpellier full-back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is included even though he is suspended for the clash with world and European champions Spain on October 16 at the Vicente Calderon in Madrid.
France meet Japan at the Stade de France four days earlier as they look to build on World Cup qualifying wins over Finland and Belarus which has seen them move top of Group I.
