Neymar reacts furiously to diving gesture by fan

Brazilian star Neymar allowed himself to be provoked by a Man City fan last night while on the Barcelona bench.

The Spanish side left the Etihad Stadium last night with a 2-1 win, but Neymar didn’t look too happy as the final whistle blew.

A Man City fan wearing a Yaya Touré shirt was seated near the bench and was clearly taunting the player, while making diving gestures with his hand.

Whatever he said got under Neymar’s skin - he gestured to the fan to come over to him after the match. The Brazilian spoke angrily to the supporter before the pair were separated by stewards.

According to 101 Great Goals the fan spoke in Portuguese to get Neymar’s attention although the player himself made light of the incident.

“I was just playing with him,” Neymar said. “He began to curse me and I ended up mocking him.

“What he told me? I can not repeat it, no. My mother gave me an education. What his mother did not tell him, my mother taught me.”

The same incident was also recorded from another angle.
