It looks like Republic of Ireland fans may be soon saying goodbye to another big name, following Shay Given's international retirement yesterday.

Martin O'Neill has said today he expects Robbie Keane will make an announcement soon regarding his International future.

Speculation about a possible retirement for Keane has been mounting in recent months following Ireland's Euro 2016 campaign.

O'Neill told a press in Clonmel today that he has recently spoken to the LA Galaxy star.

Ireland's leading goalscorer featured mainly as a substitute during the tournament and has struggled with injuries.

O’Neill also said that he has told John O'Shea he wants him to continue but the it itsup to the player to make a decision on his international future.
