Keane sure of making Faroe Islands game13/10/2012 - 10:32:59
Republic of Ireland Captain Robbie Keane is confident of being fit for Tuesday's Group C clash with the Faroe Islands.
The Republic are looking to move on quickly from last night's 6-1 hammering by Germany in World Cup qualifying.
Captain Robbie Keane was unavailable for the match with an achilles injury.
He said: "The injury feels probably 80-70% at the moment, so hopefully the next couple of days will make a big difference and I will be okay."
Republic of Ireland defender John O'Shea has said they must move on quickly from the hammering.
The result increases the pressure on manager Giovanni Trapattoni and he must lift the players for the next game against Faroe Islands.
The stand-in captain said they must put a dismal night in Dublin behind them.
O'Shea said: "We have to, as quick as possible, dust ourselves down, I think that the way the group is going to go, obviously you want to win at home.
"You want to get something against teams, but we were well and truly beaten tonight and we have to forget about this as quick as we can.
