Hull are expected to bolster their depleted ranks by signing three new players on Tuesday.

Caretaker boss Mike Phelan has had to work with 13 fit senior players following a summer of turmoil at the KCOM Stadium.

Previous manager Steve Bruce quit over his frustration at the lack of new arrivals following promotion in May as Hull's owners, the Allam family, continued to work on the sale of the club to a Chinese consortium.

But Phelan is now on the verge of making his first signings at Hull and Press Association Sport understands that will include the recruitment of a goalkeeper, midfielder and striker on Tuesday.

It has been reported that Hendrick could be among the trio of players, with Hull having agreed a £10million deal with Derby for the 25-times capped Hendrick, although Burnley are also said to be interested in the 24-year-old.

Hendrick trained with the Ireland squad today as he rehabs a hamstring injury but the midfielder will fly-out to Hull tomorrow for a medical.

Former England Under-21 striker Will Keane is having a medical on Humberside ahead of a permanent move from Manchester United, according to reports.

Keane, the twin brother of Burnley defender Michael, made his United debut as an 18-year-old in December 2010 and made two appearances under Louis van Gaal last season.

But the 23-year-old did not start a senior game at United and had loan spells at Wigan, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston to gather first-team experience.

Keane would become the latest player to leave Old Trafford since Jose Mourinho was appointed United manager this summer, with Paddy McNair and Donald Love having joined Sunderland and Tyler Blackett moving to Reading.

Adnan Januzaj, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Andreas Pereira and James Wilson have also been sent out on loan.

Hull's capture of Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff for a £5million fee is also expected to be confirmed on Tuesday.

Marshall, 31, has made over 280 appearances for Cardiff since joining from Norwich in 2009.

Hull are also keen to strengthen their midfield and are understood to have met Tottenham's valuation of Ryan Mason.

But they have other options and are believed to be in talks with Norway playmaker Markus Henriksen.

Henriksen was left out of AZ Alkmaar's 2-0 Eredivisie win over NEC on Sunday, with the Dutch media reporting that he had been given permission to travel to England for talks with the Tigers.

But they are in danger of losing Abel Hernandez before Wednesday's transfer deadline, with Aston Villa showing strong interest in the Uruguay striker.
