French woman issues plea to help contact Euro 2016 Ireland fan about an 'IMPORTANT MATTER'

Most Ireland fans came away from Euro 2016 with fantastic memories. It seems one, though, may have to revisit the memories of his revelry at the tournament quite soon, writes Robert McNamara.

It is being claimed a French girl named Rita has reached out to Ireland fans on a popular Facebook page to help her find an Irishman named Cormac whom she met on the 27th of June in Lyon.

She says they met at La Place du Change, a gathering place for Irish fans during the Euros.

The only information Rita has is Cormac's first name.

Ireland exited the tournament the previous day in a 2-1 defeat to the hosts but it appears Cormac's fun was only just beginning.

Rita wrote on the 'You Boys in Green' Facebook page: "I don't have any more information other than his first name and where we met, but I'm trying to contact him about an important matter."

Hhhhmmmm! What could it be?

Now, we wouldn't dream of speculating and Rita does go on to say that: "...If this message reaches Cormac, he needn't worry, I just need to touch base with him about something."

C'mon Cormac, where are ya?
