FAI staff dispute to be referred to LRC


SIPTU members employed in the Football Association of Ireland have refused to accept changes to their pay and pensions and redundancies.

Management want to impose a 10% pay cut, a freeze on pension scheme contributions and seven compulsory redundancies on its staff.

The FAI workers have already taken two pay cuts in the past 18 months.

SIPTU says its members are refusing to take any more and it has now referred the matter to the Labour Relations Commission.
