Gary McCabe scored two penalties as Shamrock Rovers went through with a 2-0 win at First Division SD Galway.

Sean O’Connor and Ian Daly scored as St. Patrick’s Athletic beat UCD 2-1 at Richmond Park - Chris Lyons replying for the Students.

Shelbourne finished with nine men, due to injuries to Lorcan Fitzgerald and Stephen Hurley, as they lost 2-1 after extra-time to Bray Wanderers at Tolka Park.

Shels’ David Cassidy levelled Jonathan Kelty’s first half opener to force extra-time. But Sean Houston won it for Bray with a goal in the 113th minute.
