Daryl Murphy ruled out of Wales clash at the Aviva

There is mixed news from the Ireland camp ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier with Wales at the Aviva.

Newcastle forward Daryl Murphy has been ruled out through injury while James McCarthy is still doubtful.

Seamus Coleman, Shane Long and Johnny Hayes are sitting out today's session but should be ok for Friday.

Wes Hoolahan, Ciaran Clark, Shane Duffy and Harry Arter are all out injured while Robbie Brady is suspended.

The injury-hit squad trained in Dublin this morning, but Jon Walters is confident in the depth of players Ireland have.

"It's part and parcel of what you have to deal with through the campaign. Obviously, it's difficult to take with so many [out injured].

"It's what big squads are for and I'm sure we'll cope."
