Big guns return for Celtic's Champions League tie

Ronny Deila brought back his big guns as expected for Celtic’s Champions League play-off clash with Maribor at Parkhead.

A much-changed Hoops side lost 1-0 at Inverness on Saturday as the Celtic boss rested most of his stars for the visit of the Slovenians.

Deila made nine changes for the second leg with only stand-in skipper Charlie Mulgrew and defender Efe Ambrose remaining in the starting line-up and Anthony Stokes back to lead the line as the Scottish champions looked to finish the job off following their encouraging 1-1 draw in Maribor last week.

Celtic: Gordon, Lustig, Ambrose, van Dijk, Izaguirre, McGregor, Mulgrew, Johansen, Kayal, Berget, Stokes.

Subs: Zaluska, Matthews, Biton, Boerrigter, Commons, Denayer, Griffiths.

Maribor: Handanovic, Stojanovic, Rajcevic, Suler, Viler, Vrsic, Mertelj, Filipovic, Ibraimi, Mendy, Tavares.

Subs: Cotman, Mejac, Sallalich, Zahovic, Dervisevic, Bohar, Arghus.

Referee: Viktor Kassai (Hungary)
