With reports flying that Mario Balotelli is about to be revealed as Liverpool’s latest signing, this video from his unveiling in Milan last year will definitely help the Anfield faithful warm to him.
Liverpool’s disdain for British tabloid ‘The Sun’ is well known and goes back to their coverage of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989. To this day, a majority of shops in the city will not carry the newspaper.
Turns out, Balotelli isn’t too hot on the paper either.
When a journalist in the video identifies himself as being from ‘The Sun’, Balotelli interrupts him before he can even finish his question.
“Your newspaper, from when I get to England, always talked bad about me. So I don’t want to speak with you, sorry.”
Attaboy Mario, they’ll be eating out of your hand on Merseyside after that.
To be fair, Twitter is also quite excited.
