Aaron Greene scored twice as Sligo Rovers marched on with a sixth straight win in beating bottom side UCD 3-0 at the UCD Bowl to remain five points clear at the top of the Premier Division table.

Striker Greene put Sligo ahead on 27 mins with a low drive following a quick counteratttack.

Midfielder David Crawley doubled the lead on 59 mins, scooping home the rebound after keeper Mark McGinley could only parry a shot form Greene.

Greene then got his second of the night on with a fine run and shot.

Kevin Devaney was Bohemians’ match winner for the second time this season as they beat Shelbourne 1-0 at Tolka Park.

The only goal came after five minutes when Shels failed to clear a corner and winger Deveney found the net from the edge of the area.

Shels finished with ten men for the third time this season when defender Ian Ryan was sent off for a second booking in the 73rd minute.
