Soccer: Ronaldo backs Inter's Campbell bid
02/06/2001 - 18:16:41Inter Milan striker Ronaldo is backing the Italian club’s bid to sign Sol Campbell from Tottenham.
The fit-again Brazilian revealed he would welcome the arrival of the England defender, who last week turned down Spurs’ offer to make him the best paid player in the history of the club.
"As I see it, he is a wonderful player indeed," Ronaldo said.
"I saw him just last weekend in Monte Carlo. We came across each other by chance."
