British First Division club Birmingham have signed Irish international Jeff Kenna on a month’s loan from Blackburn.

The 31-year-old defender is expected to make his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on St Stephen’s Day and will remain in the Birmingham side until January 29.

However, he won’t be available for the FA Cup game against Liverpool on January 5.

Kenna, who has 27 international caps for Ireland, is currently out of favour at Blackburn and has already been loaned to Tranmere and Wigan on separate occasions earlier this year.
