Shevchenko pledges future to Milan

03/05/2006 - 14:53:05
Chelsea target Andriy Shevchenko insists his future is at AC Milan.

The Ukraine international striker has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge for the past two years, with Blues owner Roman Abramovich thought to be the only man who could fund a transfer.

The Italian press reported earlier this week that Shevchenko could be open to a move after a rift with Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The pair had an exchange of words after he was substituted in Sunday’s 2-0 triumph against Livorno.

However, Shevchenko has dismissed the reports.

“I was angry at myself, not at Ancelotti,” Shevchenko said.

“Of course, no one likes to be substituted. My dream is to remain at Milan.

“Every year I hear reports on Abramovich and Chelsea but my wish is to remain a Rossoneri player until I am no longer able to give my very best for this team.”
