Davis, who previously played for city rivals Rangers, responded in kind by reiterating his passion for the blue half of Glasgow.

The two players are likely to be involved in Southampton's first game of the new Premier League season against Watford on Saturday - in what will be new manager Claude Puel debut in the division.
