Ireland captain Paul O'Connell has described how the excitement is just as massive as his first World Cup, with the squad behaving as if they were "on a school tour".
O'Connell will become the third Irish man to play in four Rugby World Cups, but the excitement is still as big as his first tournament in 2003.
The Limerick man described how he was shielded from the pressure in his first tournament, with the more senior players shouldering that burden.
He said: "I was delighted to get picked and I just really enjoyed the tournament.
"I think Woody and Axel and these guys were the senior players of the tour and probably took a lot of the pressure. It was a very different experience to what it is now."
He then went on to describe how relaxed the squad was before rugby's most prestigious competition.
He said: "Yesterday coming over we were like a bunch of guys going on a school tour, it was a very giddy flight and bus trip to the hotel here.
"The excitement is massive, probably more than the first one, because I know there are no more to come."
