TV3 announce strong line-up for Rugby World Cup coverage

TV3 today announced they will have exclusive coverage of the Rugby World Cup this Autumn and have unveiled a star-studded commentary team for the tournament.

TV3 today announced they will have exclusive coverage of the Rugby World Cup this Autumn and have unveiled a star-studded commentary team for the tournament.

The station will show all 48 matches in the tournament, beginning with the hosts England taking on Fiji on September 18 and culminating in the final at Twickenham on October 31.

They revealed the line-up at a launch at the Merrion Hotel today.

Their commentary team will include Ireland legends Keith Wood and Peter Stringer, recently retired Leinster flanker Shane Jennings and England’s Neil Back - who was part of the World Cup-winning side in 2003.

They will join TV3 regulars Sinead Kissane and Matt Cooper - with Murray Kinsella, Conor McNamara and Liam Toland also part of the presenting team.

The Irish campaign starts on September 19 against Canada, before ties against Romania, Italy and France in Pool D.
