Toulon forward Romain Taofifenua has been cited for allegedly kicking an opponent in the head.

Toulon forward Romain Taofifenua has been cited for allegedly kicking an opponent in the head.

France international Taofifenua, 24, is alleged to have kicked Ulster centre Stuart Olding during last Saturday’s European Champions Cup pool game in Belfast, tournament organisers said.

Match citing commissioner Peter Larter has reported the Toulon lock, who will now face a disciplinary hearing in Dublin on Thursday.

If the case is proved, Taofifenua could face a ban of anything between four weeks to a maximum one-year suspension.
