Robbie Henshaw models new Ireland rugby jersey

Showcased on Ireland’s tour to South Africa and officially launched today by Robbie Henshaw, the new Irish Rugby jersey is described by makers Canterbury as “the most innovative and technically advanced rugby jersey ever worn by an Irish rugby team”.

The jersey, modelled by Leinster's new star for today’s launch, has been developed through position-specific 3D body-mapping to offer a super enhanced fit catering for the varied physiques of the modern rugby player.

Sounds very impressive - let’s hope it is equally ready to cope with the varied physiques of the modern fan.

Supporters can choose from the “Pro” jersey which retains the look of the jersey that will be worn by the team, while offering a more comfortable fit as well as a “Classic” jersey that offers a contemporary design on the classic collared rugby jersey.

We expected to see plenty of these around in the autumn.

The new Ireland Rugby range is available to buy now from shop.irishrugby.ie

and canterbury.com.
