Paul O'Connell set to complete move to France

Paul O'Connell's proposed move to Toulon looks to be back on.

Local French media are reporting that the Ireland captain has finalised his deal with the three-time European champions ahead of the midnight deadline to register their squad for next season.

The Var Matin newspaper reported that Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal indicated that the Munster legend had initialled a deal yesterday.

The 35-year-old is said to have agreed a one-year deal with the option for a second year.

This morning, French media had reported that Toulon had cooled their interest in the player O'Connell because of a shoulder problem.
