O’Mahony recovers to meet Toulouse challenge

There was good news for Munster fans as captain Peter O’Mahony made it through the training unscathed.

The blindside flanker managed to take full part in the squad’s final session yesterday and will lead the side out at Thomond Park tomorrow.

O'Mahony withdrew at the last minute before last weekend’s loss to Leinster with a hamstring twinge and after successfully following a modified training schedule is fit to play.

The only other change to the side sees James Downey return to renew his centre partnership with Casey Laulala.

With O'Mahony in, CJ Stander drops to the bench and John Ryan takes the place of James Cronin who is missing with an ankle sprain.

Finally, Alan Cotter and Gerhard van den Heever are both named in their first match-day Heineken Cup squad.

Munster team to play Toulouse:

Jones; Earls, Laulala, Downey, Zebo; Keatley, Murray; Kilcoyne, Varley, Botha; Foley, O'Connell; O'Mahony (C), O'Donnell, Coughlan.

Replacements

Duncan Casey, John Ryan, Alan Cotter, Donncha O'Callaghan, CJ Stander, Duncan Williams, JJ Hanrahan, Gerhard van den Heever.
