Ronan O'Gara will become Munster's most capped player when he takes the field for the province’s RaboDirect PRO12 game against Cardiff Blues in Musgrave Park on Saturday (7.30pm).

The veteran flyhalf will be winning his 234th cap in the last league game before a return to Heineken Cup action.

Just four players – skipper Doug Howlett, centre James Downey, scrum-half Conor Murray and flanker Tommy O'Donnell – retain their places in the Munster starting XV for the visit of the Blues.

Felix Jones starts a fullback with Johne Murphy completing the back three while Keith Earls makes his return from injury to partner James Downey in the centre.

Dave Kilcoyne, Mike Sherry and Stephen Archer will form a youthful front row. Behind them Dave Foley locks down alongside Donnacha Ryan in the engine room.

Tommy O’Donnell, Sean Dougall and James Coughlan form the back row while CJ Stander also returns from injury to take his place among the replacements.
