Munster forward James Coughlan will undergo surgery on Friday after fracturing a bone in his left hand in the Heineken Cup defeat to Ulster last Sunday.

He will miss the province's remaining games in the RaboDirect PRO12 and initial reports are that he could be sidelined for 6-8 weeks.

Meanwhile Keith Earls will have a scan later today to determine the full extent of the leg injury he sustained in Sunday's game at Thomond Park.

Munster trained this morning in CIT and expect to name their squad for the crucial PRO 12 clash with Glasgow Warriors (Musgrave Park, Saturday, 7.15pm) tomorrow afternoon.
