Leinster appoint new Head of Athletic Performance

Leinster have made a key addition to their backroom team.

The province have announced the appointment of Charlie Higgins as their new Head of Athletic Performance.

The 43-year-old, who joins Leinster from Super Rugby side Western Force, replaces Dan Tobin who moved to Gloucester Rugby this summer.

Higgins has been with the Western Force since 2011 and before that had worked in various positions in Australia, Japan and England, and with clubs including the Waratahs and Bath Rugby.

Leinster held an open work-out today in Greystones, where they were trained under the watchful of former World Cup winning coach Graham Henry, who has joined the province as a special advisor on a short-term contract.
