Could Paul O’Connell be on his way to France?

Newspaper reports today suggest Ireland and Munster second row Paul O’Connell could be offered a move to the Top 14 at the end of the season.`

A regional French media outlet has said that Champions Cup finalists Toulon, going for their third European victory in a row, are considering a move for the Limerick man.

The European giants are set to lose two locks to retirement at the end of the season, John Philip "Bakkies" Botha and Ali Williams, and are apparently interested in O’Connell as a replacement.

They are not the only Top 14 clubs looking at Ireland’s captain, Grenoble and Pau have both also been mentioned in connection with the 35-year-old.

O’Connell has previously said he is unsure whether he will play on after this Autumn’s World Cup. He still has a year to run on his current Munster contract.
