Robinson signs up for Baggies
05/04/2005 - 13:12:22West Brom defender Paul Robinson has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The 26-year-old left-back, who joined the Baggies for £300,000 (€438,600) from Watford two years ago, is committed to the club until June 2007 with the option of a further year’s extension.
Robinson, a former England Under-21 international, has been almost ever-present since West Brom appointed Bryan Robson.
And the manager said: “I had seen Paul play a couple of times at Watford but when I first arrived here I had more or less made my mind up that Neil Clement would be my left-back.
“But once I’d seen everyone else play I decided Clement was a centre-half and I’ve been really pleased with the way Paul Robinson plays as a full-back.”
