Richardson not giving up fight
21/11/2005 - 11:21:12Damien Richardson is not giving up his fight to have Alan Bennett’s suspension from the FAI Cup final receded.
Bennett is banned from the Cup final after picking up four yellow cards this season along with team mates Danny Murphy and Roy O’Donovan.
But match officials have admitted that Bennett’s fourth yellow card of the season was a mistake and Richardson hopes he can have the yellow card overturned despite FIFA rules prohibiting it.
“My next battle is next week with Alan Bennett. We will work to get him available for us.”
