Reid called in to face Swansea
West Brom head coach Roy Hodgson recalled full-back Steven Reid and winger Jerome Thomas for the home Barclays Premier League clash with Swansea.
Reid, who had recovered from ankle and knee problems, replaced Gabriel Tamas while Thomas – fit after an ankle setback – came in for Simon Cox. New signings, defender Liam Ridgewell and midfielder Keith Andrews, were amongst the substitutes.
Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers kept faith with the side which drew 1-1 with Chelsea in midweek. On loan Blues midfielder Josh McEachran, who had been ineligible to face his parent club, was on the bench.
