Reds boosted by Morientes return
Fernando Morientes is expected to return up front for Liverpool’s Barclays Premiership clash at Manchester City tomorrow with Milan Baros suspended.
Morientes, who has overcome the muscle injury sustained in the Merseyside derby, was cup tied for the Champions League clash with Juventus in midweek.
Mauricio Pellegrino, also ineligible for Europe, is back in the squad whilst goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek is expected to take over from youngster Scott Carson.
Xabi Alonso is likely to be included after being named on the bench against Juventus and then being given a run-out in the reserves. Dietmar Hamann is still recovering from a knee injury.
