Thurles, Kelso and Sandown pass inspections

Thurles' all-chase meeting this afternoon will go ahead as scheduled.

Waterlogging had been a potential issue at the Co Tipperary circuit, but the track was hit by 5.5 millimetres of overnight rain.

The going was found to still be heavy following an early-morning precautionary inspection.

This afternoon's meeting at Kelso has also passed an early-morning course inspection.

Racing goes ahead at the Scottish venue after six millimetres of snow and rail fell within the last 24 hours.

Clerk of the course Hazel Peplinski tweeted: "Good news! Kelso Racecourse passes the precautionary inspection.

"Racing goes ahead. Going is now heavy after 6mm snow/rain."

The fixture features the BetVictor Morebattle Hurdle.

Friday's jumps meeting at Sandown also passed a course inspection this morning.

The original seven-race programme will go ahead as scheduled after the hurdles track was found to be fit for racing after just three millimetres of overnight rain.

A provisional all-chase card had been formulated as back-up, but this will no longer be necessary.
