Listowel calls afternoon inspection for Wednesday's racing

Wednesday’s meeting at Listowel is subject to a 4pm inspection today.

The track has been forced to call off two days of action so far after heavy rain left the track waterlogged.

The course is reported to still be partially waterlogged and unfit for racing, with officials planning to assess their chances of racing later this afternoon. The weather forecast for Kerry today is dry and bright.

Two replacement meetings have been organised next week, at Navan on Monday and Naas on Wednesday to make up the lost flat races.

Listowel will hold an extra fixture on Sunday featuring an all-jumps card.
