Bond plan for Harrington horse

Fairyhouse’s Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle will be the next port of call for Jezki after his impressive victory at Naas on Saturday.

The four-year-old won a Grade Three in effortless fashion, with Dermot Weld’s Hisaabaat, the Triumph Hurdle runner-up, well behind in fourth.

Jessica Harrington has never made any secret of the regard in which she holds the Milan gelding and he will step up to the highest level for his next outing.

“Jezki followed his maiden win over hurdles with an impressive victory in the Grade Three Fishery Lane Hurdle at Naas on Saturday,” Harrington told her website.

“Despite worries regarding the heavy ground, having not encountered worse than soft, he coped well with conditions and produced a stylish and more professional round of jumping to win well under Barry Geraghty.

“There is no denying that his task was made easier, as he received weight off Dermot Weld’s Hisaabaat, but he still had to perform, which he did in a favourable fashion.

“The Grade One Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on December 2 will hopefully be his next target, where we are optimistic he can continue progressing and take the step up in class in his stride.”
