WATCH: Pirlo tells his ‘keeper exactly where Kaka will aim free-kick
Former AC Milan team-mates Andrea Pirlo and Kaka were reunited in the MLS at the weekend, and at least one of them was willing to use his inside knowledge for his team’s advantage.
Pirlo made his debut for New York City on Sunday against Orlando City, the team Kaka joined in 2014.
The pair, who won the Champions League together in 2007, shared a friendly greeting when Pirlo came on as a second-half substitute.
The Italian legend may have been pleased to see Kaka, but he was also happy to use his knowledge of the Brazilian to help his new side.
When Kaka lined up to take a free-kick, Pirlo clearly indicated to his goalkeeper where he was likely to aim his shot, and edged the wall over to close the gap.
Pirlo plays to win.
The match ended 5-3 in New York City FC’s favour.
