FIFA release their new game - FIFA 16 - in September, and for the first time in its history it will include women’s teams.
The newest version of the EA Sports game will feature 12 international women’s teams - Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the USA.
A YouTube trailer released today shows a line-up of the female footballers announcing: “We’re in the game”.
As the tagline says: “We’re not here to stand and watch - this is our game too.”
Several high-profile players have been involved with the development of the graphics and have tweeted in support of the new release.

Unfortunately, the Republic of Ireland women’s team are not part of the 2016 release.
EA Sports have missed a trick there, what could be cooler than Stephanie Roche’s wonder goal rendered as a computer graphic?
