If you didn’t see it unfold live on RTÉ and Twitter yesterday evening - the #AskTed hashtag started by the station rapidly descended into farce.
You’d think RTÉ would have learned from the many examples of this type of Twitter Q&A being hijacked, but they pressed ahead - asking viewers to submit questions for racing legend Ted Walsh to answer during the Galway Races coverage.
Fair play to all involved, they pressed ahead with putting the questions that came in to Walsh - even though they bore no connection whatsoever to horse racing.

Walsh seemed baffled by the whole thing, but gamely answered what was asked.
