In the Big Book of Journalism Clichés, the phrase 'got more than he bargained for' is right up there.

And in this case, it's fully warranted.

In this clip, the more-than-he-bargained-for-getter is a guy who decided that a pitch invasion during Gloucester's 13-12 win against Exeter Chiefs yesterday was A Good Idea.

It wasn't, especially after Gloucester had just conceded a late try that gave Exeter the chance to sneak the win.

Gloucester fly-half Freddie Burns soon 'brought the over-excited pitch invader crashing back down to earth', the Gloucester Citizen reported with some relish.

It was all captured on film by Exeter fan Chris Kellow.

In the end, things went from bad to worse for the Chiefs as gareth Steenson missed the conversion which would have given them the win.
