F1 driver Romain Grosjean owes at least one member of hia pit crew a serious apology - after colliding with him in a botched stop during the Spanish Grand Prix at the weekend.
Drivers leave it to the last minute to brake at pit stops to minimise time lost, but Grosjean misjudged his distances and collided forcefully with the front jack.
The impact sent the jack flying backwards into the mechanic holding it, who bore the brunt of the impact in the worst place possible.
Fair play to the mechanic, who got on with the job at hand before looking for pain relief.
All good with the crew. Ice pack redeployed... pic.twitter.com/DUOBP8tkJF

There was no serious harm done, but we’re willing to bet the beers will be on Grosjean for some time.
