Unchanged Dublin bid to continue Championship cruise

By Stephen Barry

They have a combined 59-point winning margin from their three games until now, so why change anything?

That seems to be Jim Gavin’s thinking too, as he named the same team to start Sunday’s All-Ireland quarter-final against Fermanagh as defeated Westmeath in the Leinster final.

A favoured defensive line-up appears to be forming for Gavin, while the forwards have remained unchanged throughout the Leinster Championship.

DUBLIN: Stephen Cluxton (Parnell's);

Jonny Cooper (Na Fianna), Rory O'Carroll (Kilmacud Crokes), Philly McMahon (Ballymun Kickhams);

James McCarthy (Ballymun Kickhams), Cian O’Sullivan (Kilmacud Crokes), Jack McCaffrey (Clontarf);

Brian Fenton (Raheny), Michael Darragh Macauley (Ballyboden St Enda's);

Paul Flynn (Fingallians), Ciarán Kilkenny (Castleknock), Diarmuid Connolly (St Vincent's);

Dean Rock (Ballymun Kickhams), Kevin McManamon (St Jude's), Bernard Brogan (St Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh).

Updated 11pm: Meanwhile Ruairi Corrigan comes into the Fermanagh team in place of full-back Tiernan Daly. Corrigan, who played 42 minutes against Westmeath as a substitute, joins his brother Tomas in attack.

Marty O'Brien slots in at full-back in a reshuffled defense.
