Thepchaiya Un-Nooh’s snooker dream turned into a nightmare in front of a live TV audience this evening.
Standing on the cusp of achieving snooker perfection against a former World Champion, the Thai cueman missed the most routine of pots and lost his 147 opportunity.
Un-Nooh’s night went from bad to worse as he realised the size of the £44,000 prize that he had left on the table.
"£44,000? I wish you told me before!"

And Robertson even topped his 140-break next frame around on his way to a 6-2 win.

Un-Nooh’s play had been superb to even create the chance of a maximum clearance, setting up perfectly on the black and potting this sublime final red.
For those that missed it, here's Un-Nooh's amazing last red. Deserved the maxi after this one... #heartbreak pic.twitter.com/JtivesP1Vs

But after all the reflection, there was only the matter of the appropriateness of Un-Nooh’s name left to talk about.
A fella called 'Un-Nooh' missed the black ball for a 147 break and 44 grand. Who writes these scripts! #gutted
