Ulster make ten personnel changes and two positional switches to the side beaten by Zebre last weekend as they prepare to welcome Edinburgh on Friday night.
Jared Payne starts at outside-centre as Louis Ludik, Andrew Trimble, Payne and Paul Marshall all come into the backline. Tommy Bowe switches from the right wing to the left.
Up front Ruaidhri Murphy at loosehead and lock Alan O’Connor both make their first competitive starts for the province.
Rory Best returns as hooker and will captain the side, while Wiehahn Herbst returns at tighthead.
In the back row Robbie Diack returns at blindside while Roger Wilson switches from blindside to Number 8 and Chris Henry comes in at openside.
