Trio complete gruelling run for autism charity

Three men have completed their 131 mile run from Sligo to Dublin.

Niall Murphy, Michael Devaney and Brendan Doyle from Mullingar in Co Westmeath undertook the challenge to raise money for Irish Autism Action.

While crossing the finish line at Liffey Valley in Dublin, Niall told Midlands 103 that it was a gruelling task.

"It was, absolutely, a whole load of mind over matter, there's whole load of things go through your mind, but we're absolutely delighted," he said.

"We had a superb support group, that's what got us through - great support along the way - and it' s just been fantastic."
