McGregor sensed victory with Siver's face reddening and sent the German down with 3:25 remaining in the second round.

McGregor dived on top of the fallen Siver as he powered to victory with a volley of blows.

The referee stopping the bout with three minutes and 12 seconds remaining.

“I said two minutes, I meant two rounds” explained McGregor afterwards. “I felt comfortable throughout, Siver never posed a threat.”

“Everyone single one of them say this guy is all talk, never once you hear them talk about the skill or technique, because they know I own them.”

McGregor then cleared the octagon and faced down reigning featherweight champion Aldo.

“I don’t know what I said to him,” claimed McGregor “F**k him anyway, He’s one of them saying that I’m all talk.”

McGregor is now expected to fight Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title in Las Vegas.

“It’s normal to me, he’s just a joke and I’m still laughing at him,” said Aldo “I think its great for the UFC and our division and I can’t wait to fight him.”

Paddy “The Hooligan” Holohan got the night off to the best possible start with a dominate performance resulting in a unanimous victory over Shane Howell.

The large Irish contingent were on their feet from the introductions with Holohan grabbing Howell into a choke hold within 60 seconds of the first round.

Howell showed courage to hold off Holohan’s grip on a quick victory and unlocked the choke hold with one minute and 35 seconds of the first remaining.

Howell needed to produce two big rounds such was Holohan dominance in the first round with Holohan taking his corners advice to slow down the second round.

“The hooligan” looked to finish with a flourish applying a body triangle hold with one minute 47 remaining in the bout, although was unable to finish off Howell.

The Tallaght man deservedly took his 11th UFC victory with the judges awarding a unanimous 30 to 27 victory.

Cathal Pendred made it two out of two for the Irish team some 60 minutes later with a surprise unanimous decision.

Pendred executed his custom move within 45 seconds of the opening by tossing Sean Spencer to the canvas.

Spencer though bounced to his feet and had Pendred on the canvass unloading a boxing combination with two minutes of round one remaining.

Spencer appeared to be on course for victory, before being despatched to the canvas and Pendred placing a leg lock on Spencer with 20 seconds of the bout remaining.

Pendred’s final action appeared to be enough to impress the judges into a unanimous decision.

Antrim man Norman Parke was unable to keep the Irish results positive falling to Brazil’s Gleison Tibau on a split decision with all three judges scoring the bout 29 – 28.
