Stoke City v Southampton Saturday April 18 3pm

Stoke City: Potters missing Muniesa and Moses

Stoke will be without defender Marc Muniesa and winger Victor Moses for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Southampton at the Britannia Stadium.

Muniesa misses out due to a slight hamstring strain, while on-loan Moses has returned to parent club Chelsea because of a hamstring problem of his own that is expected to keep him sidelined for the rest of the season.

Defenders Marc Wilson and Erik Pieters are both nursing knocks to the wrist but manager Mark Hughes is hopeful the pair will be available for the visit of the Saints.

Provisional squad: Begovic, Butland, Shawcross, Wilson, Wollscheid, Bardsley, Pieters, Teixeira, Cameron, Whelan, Adam, Nzonzi, Sidwell, Ireland, Arnautovic, Diouf, Walters, Crouch.

Ronald Koeman brings his side to Stoke.

Southampton: Duo out for Saints

Victor Wanyama and Filip Djuricic will miss Southampton’s Premier League encounter at Stoke.

Kenya midfielder Wanyama will serve a one-match ban after picking up a 10th booking of the season in last weekend’s win against Hull – a match Djuricic missed with an ankle complaint which keeps him sidelined.

Ronald Koeman can call upon defender Florin Gardos again, although Fraser Forster, Jay Rodriguez and Emmanuel Mayuka remain absent.

Provisional squad: K Davis, Gazzaniga, Clyne, Bertrand, Targett, Yoshida, Gardos, McCarthy, Alderweireld, Fonte, Schneiderlin, Reed, Ward-Prowse, S Davis, Elia, Tadic, Mane, Long, Seager, Pelle.

Leicester City v Swansea City Saturday April 18 3pm

Leicester City: Foxes fully fit

Boss Nigel Pearson has a fully fit Leicester squad and the Foxes could be unchanged for the visit of Swansea.

Victory by three goals and favourable results elsewhere would see the Foxes escape the Barclays Premier League relegation zone for the first time since November.

Matthew Upson is fit after recovering from an Achilles problem, despite failing to make the squad for last weekend’s dramatic 3-2 win at West Brom.

Provisional squad: Schmeichel, Schwarzer, Hamer, Simpson, Moore, Upson, Wasilewski, Morgan, Huth, De Laet, Konchesky, King, Hammond, Knockaert, Albrighton, Schlupp, Cambiasso, James, Mahrez, Nugent, Kramaric, Vardy, Ulloa.

Garry Monk's Swansea have problems in defence.

Swansea City: Oliveira in contention for Swansea

Portugal striker Nelson Oliveira has recovered from an ankle injury and is in contention to make only his second Barclays Premier League start for Swansea at Leicester on Saturday.

Oliveira joined on loan from Benfica in January and his only previous start came in the 5-0 home defeat to Chelsea, but Bafetimbi Gomis’ absence for a month with a hamstring injury has given him the opportunity to lead the attack for the next few weeks.

Swansea manager Garry Monk has a defensive dilemma with Neil Taylor suspended, Kyle Naughton injured and fellow full-backs Dwight Tiendalli and Jazz Richards out on loan so Jordi Amat is set for a rare start, possibly in a new formation featuring three central defenders.

Provisional squad: Fabianski, Rangel, Fernandez, Williams, Amat, Cork, Ki, Shelvey, Routledge, Sigurdsson, Oliveira, Tremmel, Bartley, Fulton, Britton, Montero, Dyer, Emnes, Grimes, King.

Everton v Burnley Saturday April 18 3pm

Everton: Lukaku set for Everton return

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is set to return to face Burnley after a month out with a hamstring injury.

Leon Osman will be given as much time as possible to overcome a groin problem suffered against Swansea but fellow midfielder Steven Pienaar has suffered no reaction to his first appearance since December.

Left-sided utility man Bryan Oviedo (hamstring) and winger Aiden McGeady (back) have both returned to training this week.

Provisional squad: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Stones, Baines, Barry, Lennon, Barkley, McCarthy, Pienaar, Lukaku, Robles, Alcaraz, Garbutt, Besic, Naismith, Mirallas, Kone.

Burnley: Duo back to bolster Burnley

Burnley expect defender Steven Reid (calf) and midfielder Ross Wallace (knee) to be back in contention for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Everton.

Midfielder Matt Taylor could also feature if there is no reaction to his first appearance in seven months, as a last-minute substitute, against Arsenal last week after an Achilles injury.

Forward Marvin Sordell has overcome a minor knock and the Clarets are at full strength, aside from long-term knee injury victims Dean Marney and Kevin Long.

Provisional squad: Heaton, Gilks, Mee, Duff, Shackell, Keane, Reid, Ward, Trippier, Barnes, Wallace, Arfield, Jones, Taylor, Boyd, Kightly, Vokes, Jutkiewicz, Ings, Sordell.

Crystal Palace v West Brom Saturday April 18 3pm

Crystal Palace: Same again for Palace

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew will have the same squad at his disposal for the visit of West Brom as that which thrashed Sunderland last weekend.

That means the Eagles will still be without strikers Marouane Chamakh and Fraizer Campbell – who both remain sidelined with hamstring problems.

Lee Chung-yong (foot) is a long-term absentee and Jordon Mutch (thigh) is out, but Pape Souare should be fit despite being forced off during the 4-1 win at the Stadium of Light.

Provisional squad: Speroni, Hennessey, Souare, Mariappa, Hangeland, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Kelly, Ledley, Jedinak, Puncheon, McArthur, Bolasie, Zaha, Murray, Sanogo, Gayle, Ameobi.

West Brom: Ideye doubt for Baggies

Brown Ideye could miss West Brom’s trip to Crystal Palace in the Barclays Premier League, with the striker struggling with a knee injury.

The forward will be assessed but Callum McManaman is fit after a foot injury, with the former Wigan winger an unused substitute in last week’s 3-2 defeat to Leicester.

Youssouf Mulumbu remains banned for the Baggies and goalkeeper Ben Foster is a long-term injury victim following cruciate knee ligament damage in March.

Provisional squad: Myhill, Rose, Pocognoli, Wisdom, Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Lescott, Baird, Brunt, Gamboa, Morrison, Gardner, Fletcher, Yacob, Sessegnon, McManaman, Berahino, Ideye, Anichebe.

Chelsea v Man United Saturday April 18 5.30pm

Chelsea: Remy could return

Striker Loic Remy could return from a calf injury to play for Chelsea in the Premier League leaders’ clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

Remy missed last week’s 1-0 win at QPR, as did his fellow striker Diego Costa, who could return from his hamstring injury in next week’s match at Arsenal.

Chelsea have no other injury concerns.

Provisional squad: Courtois, Cech, Ivanovic, Luis, Fabregas, Zouma, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Drogba, Mikel, Remy, Matic, Willian, Cuadrado, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Blackman, Loftus-Cheek.

Former colleagues JoseMourinho and Louis van Gaal meet again on Saturday evening.

Man United: Injuries reduce van Gaal’s options

Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling is likely to be partnered by either Tyler Blackett or Paddy McNair for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League match at Chelsea after Louis van Gaal’s squad was hit by a number of injuries.

Centre-backs Phil Jones (ankle), Marcos Rojo (adductor), and Jonny Evans (suspension) are out while midfield duo Michael Carrick (calf) and Daley Blind (ankle) are also unavailable.

Striker Robin van Persie could come into contention following his recovery from an ankle injury and left-back Luke Shaw is fit to play, but midfielder Andreas Pereira is away with the Brazil Under-20 side.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Valdes, Amos, Shaw, Blackett, Smalling, McNair, Rafael, Young, Fellaini, Herrera, Valencia, Di Maria, Januzaj, Mata, Falcao, Rooney, Van Persie, Wilson.

Vincent Kompany may miss the rest of the season.

Man City v West Ham Sunday April 19 1.30pm

Man City: Kompany and Bony miss out

Captain Vincent Kompany and striker Wilfried Bony are among Manchester City’s injury problems for Sunday’s visit of West Ham in the Barclays Premier League.

Defender Kompany (groin) could miss the rest of the season while Bony (ankle/knee) faces at least another week on the sidelines.

Midfielder James Milner (knee), defender Gael Clichy (groin) and striker Stevan Jovetic are also ruled out this weekend.

Provisional squad: Hart, Caballero, Zabaleta, Sagna, Demichelis, Mangala, Boyata, Kolarov, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Toure, Lampard, Aguero, Dzeko.

West Ham: Sakho missing for Hammers

West Ham will be without striker Diafra Sakho for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Manchester City because of a thigh strain.

Forward Enner Valencia, though, is available after a minor foot problem picked up on his return from injury against Stoke last weekend. Defender James Tomkins (shoulder) and striker Andy Carroll (knee) remain sidelined.

Provisional squad: Adrian, Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Noble, Downing, Noble, Song, Kouyate, Nolan, Cole, Jaaskelainen, Amalfitano, Nene, Demel, O’Brien, Jarvis, Valencia.

Fabricio Coloccini is back in the Spurs squad.

Newcastle v Tottenham Sunday April 19 4pm

Newcastle: Coloccini available for Magpies

Newcastle skipper Fabricio Coloccini will return to the squad for Sunday’s Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham.

The Argentinian has served a three-match ban, although Moussa Sissoko will sit out the next two games after his red card in Monday’s defeat at Liverpool. The midfielder joins striker Papiss Cisse on the sidelines as he completes the fifth instalment of his seven-match suspension.

It remains to be seen whether or not Siem de Jong is included in the squad for the first time since August after playing 45 minutes for the Under-21s in midweek following his return from a collapsed lung but fellow midfielder Rolando Aarons is still out after suffering a reaction to stepping up training following a long-term hamstring problem.

Provisional squad: Krul, Elliot, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, R Taylor, Satka, Sterry, Abeid, Anita, Colback, Gouffran, Cabella, Ameobi, Obertan, Gutierrez, Kemen, Riviere, Perez, Armstrong.

Tottenham: Spurs to assess Walker and Lloris

Kyle Walker and Hugo Lloris will be assessed ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Newcastle on Sunday.

The pair were absent against Aston Villa last week through foot and knee injuries respectively, but Mauricio Pochettino says they are close to a return.

The Spurs head coach has several other doubts, but would not give the name of those players. Jan Vertonghen missed the defeat to Villa with a virus.

Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Friedel, Walker, Yedlin, Chiriches, Kaboul, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose, Davies, Bentaleb, Paulinho, Mason, Stambouli, Dembele, Eriksen, Townsend, Lamela, Chadli, Kane, Adebayor, Soldado.
