O'Connell to sign for Toulon

It is being reported that Paul O'Connell will sign a two-year deal with Toulon.

The Ireland skipper confirmed last week that the Pro 12 semi-final win over Ospreys was his last for Munster in Thomond Park.

The Irish Times report that it will be confirmed next week pending approval from Munster and the IRFU and have quoted French sources as saying that O’Connell may travel to France next week for a medical.

They say that the Ireland captain will join the European champions after the World Cup for the rest of the 2015/’16 season and all of the 2016/’17 season.

Munster will name their team today ahead of tomorrow's Guinness Pro 12 final against Warriors in Belfast.
